Y’all. There is something about this one that REALLY makes me happy. I’m a huge BLUE fan (Go CATS), so that may be the main reason why, but this is the first project I have made where I’ve been tempted to keep i for myself vs. give as an intended gift. It’s the easiest quilt I’ve made for a couple reasons:
- Simple 5” blocks.
- No pattern, no rhyme or reason.
- Fabrics didn’t have to face a certain way.
- I quilted it on the *new* longarm.
It’s the best work I’ve done so far. I’m getting better and better each quilt (especially with the binding, binding on projects 1-5 was ROUGH). The stakes were low for this quilt. I needed to do my first project on the longarm and I went in knowing it could go horribly wrong and I’d have to fix it. And it didn’t! This machine is a BEAST and way easier to use than I expected. My stipple stitch isn’t perfect, but it is good enough for now and will only get better with more practice!
